A friend invited me to go to last night's game (6/17) versus the Tigers. It was my first game of the season.
My first impression is that I don't recognize any of the Giants anymore. Am I that out-of-touch with baseball or have the Giants all of a sudden turned into a minor league team?
My 2nd impression was that the Tigers have a great lineup. They've got 'players' at every position. I really expect them to make a run for the division.
Anyway, I think I'm going to revert back to being a Tigers fan. Watching the Giants makes me sick!!
Yeah, the Tigers are full of promise, bad start of the season aside.
I'm happy to see some of the new kids in the Giants' line-up. Wouldn't mind seeing more of, say, Denker and less of Durham. Or more of Horwitz and less of Win. Or more of Bowker and less of Aurilia. Or just less of Castillo - I'd prefer leaving 3rd base empty sometimes instead of having him in the lineup.
